Another option is to visit https://mtnonline.com/nim/ via your internet-enabled device.
When you click on the link, you should fill the NIN linking form with your details. These details should include Your name, phone number(the number you want to link), email address, and NIN.
After doing this, click submit, and wait for feedback.

How to Link NIN to Glo Mobile Numbers
Unlike MTN that has NIN link code -link NIN using USSD- GLO doesn’t. However, there is an option to Link NIN. You can Link NIN to Glo lines via text message. So, all you have to do is send a text message to a designated number.

Before now, 9mobile did not make available any USSD code to check their subscribers NIN. However, recently they saw users cries and made things simple.

If you’ve already linked your NIN and situations demand you provide your NIN on the go, there’s a way out. NIMC has provided a USSD code that Nigerians can check their NIN. This applies to all Service providers, whether Airtel, Glo, MTN or Etisalat.

How to Link NIN using NIMC mobile App
First, you have to download the NIMC mobile app. You can download it either from the Google Play Store or App Store. All you have to do is search for “NIMC “, and you’ll find the app. Here’s how the app looks on the Play store:
Alternatively, you can download through the NIMC website: https://nimc.gov.ng/mobile-digital-id/
For those with numerous sims, you can Link them all on the NIMC mobile app. As a matter of fact, you can link up to 7 phone numbers. However, it would be best to verify that you own the sims.
Let’s show you how!
- After installing the NIMC app, open it
- Then create and login with a unique 6-digit security pin—Don’t misplace it
- A new page would appear, asking you to input your mobile numbers.
- Click on “Add mobile numbers.”
- Input your desired mobile phone number
- An OTP will be sent via SMS to your phone number—shouldn’t be more than 5minutes
- Type the OTP
- Voila! You’re done
To link more phone numbers, follow the steps below:
- Login into the App with your 6 digits pin
- On the home screen, you’ll find a tab of information that includes, show my ID, scan an ID, Print NIN slip, Link my Numbers, etc
- Tap on the “Link my Numbers” tab
- You’ll find your current linked mobile number and several other buttons that contain the phrase, “Add mobile number”.
- Tap on the active button
- You’ll get a prompt with information, and you’ll find two buttons—proceed and cancel.
- Click on Proceed
- Input your mobile number into the space provided
- Click on Next
- A 6-digit OTP will be sent to your mobile line
- Input the OTP you received
- Voila! Another mobile number is linked
- To add more numbers, repeat the steps above
How to Unlink NIN
Currently, there’s no known way to Unlink NIN. So, my advice is to avoid linking other people’s phone numbers to your NIN, as you can not redo the steps.
However, if you want to Unlink because you’ve lost your mobile number, the NIN makes it easier to retrieve your sim. So, visit the office of your network provider to get your sim card restored.
