Yomi Casual was born January 25, 1985, in Lagos. He was born into a large family, having six older brothers, with ace comedian, Ayo Makun, as one of his brothers. the Makuns are, however, from Ifon, Ondo.
Yomi Casual studied Design and Clothing Technology at Auchi Polytechnic, Edo, where he realised his talent and took up the challenge of leading conversations in the Nigerian fashion industry; and beyond.
The now world recognised fashion demi-god did not start at the top, but studied the right bearing and followed it. Now, he is not sought after because people just want to wear clothes, but also because his styles, his designs sear through eyes and hearts; and tell stories.

Yomi Makun is married to Grace Makun nee Onuoha. She is the CEO of Fab Jewels.
They got engaged July 9, 2017, at the Funnybone Untamed II comedy display in Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.
The designer got her ring with her name already engraved on it – Mrs Makun. The proposal began when the DJ began playing the Styl Plus hit track Olufunmi then Yomi’s friend, Gbenro Ajibade handed him the ring as he got on one knee and proposed.
The couple got married in October of the same year and they currently have a child
together – Kahley Makun, who was born in January 2018 in Atlanta. U.S.A.
The designer revealed in an interview that he met his wife at a friend’s party. Grace was the only reserved girl at the party and that attribute endeared her to him. He also revealed that fatherhood has taken away his bad temper.
The 33-year-old is the official clothing partner of AY Live Comedy & Music Concerts, and
Shift Celebrity Prayse – an annual Thanksgiving event for all Nigerian Celebrities.
The brand has been featured in Fashion Exhibitions in Nigeria, and in the UK, and has been featured in the Native Vogue International Fashion Week which takes place in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
