Months after claiming & proving the new Microsoft Edge Browser is way better other web browsers out there, it is now warning users using Windows 10.
Sometimes, when your operating system nags you, it’s for a good reason. When Windows tells you that you need to update your antivirus software or activate a firewall, you should probably listen. However, when it tells you that you should stop using your preferred web browser, that may be a step too far.
Users are getting pop-ups that Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is draining their laptop’s battery, and they believe the solution is to use Windows 10 default browser – Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft Edge is an upgrade to the old Internet Explorer that has been having so many glitches in the past.
In a statement to VentureBeat, the company said: “These Windows Tips notifications were created to provide people with quick, easy information that can help them enhance their Windows 10 experience, including information that can help users extend battery life. That said, with Windows 10 you can easily choose the default browser and search engine of your choice.””
