The property of US-President elect Donald Trump, “Trump Tower” was renamed to Dump Tower on Google Maps.
A new Joker in town here. For sometime during the weekend the Donald Trump’s building was pinned as Dump Tower on Google Map. You might not see it again, as the bug was corrected on Sunday morning.
There has been reports that a Google’s employer was responsible for this, although that remains to be confirmed. This is especially because it is an action that can only be authorized by an employee. This particular action didn’t go so well with Trump supporters out there.

Reports from CNN also said “CNN affiliate WPIX had reported that a second location, the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Columbus Circle had also been renamed Dump International Hotel & Tower earlier Saturday. By Sunday morning, that reference had also been removed” .
Google recently removed public editing to it’s Google Map last year, due to high rate of vandalism on the platform.
While some users on social media, were not enjoying it, others did found the humour in it though.
#DumpTower is the 2nd best move I've seen by hackers this week… pic.twitter.com/KIm54V4PUS
