The image is so clear, some of us started believing it was ‘photoshopped’. But surprisingly that is not true, the image was taken long time ago by a photographer during a holiday with his girlfriend. It was a photograph taken by Charles O’Rear in 1996
Charles O’Rear was working at that period as a photographer for National Geographic.

Microsoft picked O’Rear’s image for its new operating system Windows XP in 2001. Microsoft named the image as Bliss and used it as the default wallpaper for the default theme of its Windows XP operating system published in 2001.
