Early Years of Mayorkun
Mayorkun, whose real name is Mayowa Emmanuel Adewale, was born to Toyin and Sunday Adewale on the 23rd of March 1994. As the first child of three, Mayorkun has two siblings, Morenikejimi Adesewa Ajokemi and Ayobami Sunday Adewale.

Considering he could not afford the reasonable cost of production, he recorded songs with free online beats and created covers for popular Nigerian songs. While at it, he recorded a Video cover to one of Davido’s hit songs in 2015. Davido noticed him, and he got his big break.
